| Coffee
When I was little and our family would go on camping trips, my mom would not let my dad have coffee. He would suffer through a day or two of caffeine withdrawal for our entertainment and then seemingly be okay after that. In reality, my dad is smarter than the average bear and likely got himself some coffee in secret b/c there's no way that caffeine withdrawal passes in a day or two.
Dad, I'm sorry that I ever had a laugh at your caffeine-deprived expense.
You see, yesterday I was having a ho-hum kind of day. Until we went to Starbucks. Well, not really b/c the line was HUGE (we literally couldn't see the end of it as it petered off between bookshelves) so we went to Second Cup later on and I met Mr. Maple Latte... My day was exponentially better from that point on. I actually got work done. I wrote an email to my faraway friends who I tend to take for granted. I had a good conversation on the phone with my mother before I went to bed.
Oh, coffee... The only bad thing that I associate with coffee and its many derivatives is the Tim Horton's Roll Up the Rim contest. Mainly because I never win and it makes me sad everytime a cup tells me to play again. | | |
